Andy Johnson, President of Andy Johnson Builders, Inc. was born and raised in Somerville, AL. He attended A.P. Brewer High School and Auburn University, where he received a degree in Building Science in 2000.
He and his wife Kara and family live in Somerville. When he's not working on new homes, Andy's hobbies include outdoor activities and spending time with his family.
Andy is a third generation Home Builder and has been around the housing market most of his life. His mother, Shirley Johnson, was a Licensed Realtor with Coldwell Banker, and then ReMax Platinum up until her retirement. His father, Don Johnson, owned and operated Johnson & Johnson Developers, Inc. up until his retirement a few years ago. Andy grew up working for his uncle’s company, Jerry Warren Builders, Inc., helping build homes in the summers. All of his work experience and influence from great mentors have led him to see the necessity of building a quality home at a good value.
Andy built his first home in 2001. At the time, he was working as a Project Manager at Willo Products Company in Decatur. While building the home, he secured his homebuilder’s license. It didn’t take long for the home to sell, so he decided to build a couple more. Now, with Kara's help designing the interiors, his new homes don't stay on the market long, before a new family decides to make them their own.
Andy takes pride in giving his customers the peace of mind in knowing that he will be there with them through the entire building process, from working out the first plan details, to handing over the keys. He has assembled a quality team of suppliers and dependable trade partners, some of which have worked with Andy for almost 15 years. From the very beginning, Andy's customers can feel safe and secure that his team will have their best interest at heart.
